Indio, Calif. March 18, 2025–Studio B, the Coachella Valley’s newest premiere recording and mixing facility featuring Dolby Atmos mixing, will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM, in partnership with the City of Indio. The event will take place at 45250 Smurr Street, Suite 13, Indio, CA, and will include studio tours showcasing the capabilities of Dolby Atmos immersive sound technology.
As the only Dolby Atmos-focused studio in the Coachella Valley, Studio B is poised to become the destination for high-end mixing and audio production in the region. The studio complements other local audio production facilities, allowing others to mix new or existing projects into Dolby Atmos. The 600-square-foot studio remains versatile for recording audio or other mixing projects for music, film and television.
Studio B is led by Ron Mesh, a veteran tour manager and audio engineer with over 30 years of experience in the live music and recording industries. A co-owner of The Church Studios in Cathedral City, Mesh has toured with legendary artists including Guns N’ Roses, The Cult, Tower of Power and Collective Soul. His history in the music industry and expertise ensure that Studio B will be a trusted name in high-quality audio production.
“Opening Studio B in Indio is an exciting next step in bringing world-class audio production to the Coachella Valley,” said Mesh. “With Dolby Atmos capabilities and a versatile setup, we’re creating an immersive environment for musicians, filmmakers and content creators to bring their projects to life.”
A world-class Genelec 7.1.4 twelve-speaker configuration allows Studio B to be used for Dolby Atmos mixing for a variety of projects for music, video games, film and television. This same spatial audio technology offers an immersive listening experience in consumer-facing products and experiences like movie theaters, homes, soundbars, headphones, cars, gaming consoles and virtual reality headsets that are compatible with Dolby Atmos technology.
The event will offer attendees a firsthand look at Studio B’s facilities, with industry leaders, artists and audio professionals in attendance.
